How to solve this Maths Question?

How would one solve a question like this.

A man is on a position on bridge at a zoo, and can run at 7km an hour. A lion escapes, which can run at 20km an hour. and he can run to one of the safety cages at each end of the bridge. It is 200m to one side, side A, and 100m to the other end, side B. If the lion starts at side A, how long would it take the man and the lion to reach side B(ie. would the man make it). Also, how long would it take the man and the lion to reach side A if the man starts at the same position, but the lion starts at side B?

Any help would be appreciated, thankyou.

    for the first question..

    man:

    v = 7km/h

    x0 = 0

    x = 0.1 km

    x - x0 = (v/2)t

    t = (x - x0)/(v/2)

    t = (0.1 km - 0)/(7km/hr/2)

    t = 0.1km/(3.5km/h)

    t = 0.028 h

    lion:

    v = 20 km/h

    x0 = -0.2 km

    x = 0.1 km

    t = (x - x0)/(v/2)

    t = [0.1 km - (-0.2km)]/(20km/hr/2)

    t = 0.3km/(10m/h)

    t = 0.03 h

    **the man would barely make it but he would have to suffer some torn muscles perhaps. :D)

    for the second question,

    man:

    x = 0.2 km

    t = (x - x0)/(v/2)

    t = (0.2 km - 0)/(7km/hr/2)

    t = 0.2km/(3.5km/h)

    t = 0.057 h

    lion:

    x0 = -0.1 km

    x = 0.2 km

    t = (x - x0)/(v/2)

    t = [0.2km - (-0.1km)]/(20km/hr/2)

    t = 0.3km/(10km/h)

    t = 0.03 (same formula as before)

    ** this time, the man won't make it. too bad.
