Need tips on night deep sea fishing in the East Coast?

I live in Boston. We went out twice this week for night fishing around the Hampton Beach area headed to the south-eastern sea. Started around 5PM and ended at midnight, we even hit some over 200 ft of water, but there were next to no action. We caught some small pollock and sea robins around sunset, but it went silent after dark. What can we expect to catch in these water at night? We can usually catch cod and pollock during the day. It seems fishing at night requires different set up or location? Does anyone know how to fish the sea at night? I would appreciate if you have any tip for me and my crew. Thanks in advance!

Use depth finders to seek out structural changes in the bottom and see fish schools, drift and chum water with chum bags (frozen chunks of fish, bait, crabs, etc) and drift baits at various depths, use as much light on the water as you can. Make sure everyone has a life jacket on and a life line tied on to self and boat you willnot find them in dark water if they fall over. Use a looong handled gaff and stay away from green fish brought aboard they can bite and break your leg when flopping. Use a billy club to tame them fast and throw them on ice and good luck oh be sure and post a look out its easy to get run over at night
