Unfortunately, climate science denial is - quite literally - Big Business.

Ya know, NASA just released a new scientific study about two week ago

The study measured the heat loss from the atmosphere into space.

All the climate scientist had said, there was little or no heat loss into space, they had no evidence either way, but they just decided there was no heat loss.

So all the climate change computer models, were programed with no heat loss and that all heat would be trapped in the atmosphere.

2. Well NASA finally decides to measure heat loss into space and finds

That wow, massive amount of heat is lost into space everyday, especially over the oceans

Which the climate scientist all said trapped heat, not released it.

3. So now, every climate change computer model, are all INVALID, because they all used fake data.

4. Every time a data point is actually looked into, they keep finding that the data was actually faked or twisted into what the scientist wanted it to be, not what it actually was.

5. Why is climate change political ? because those who believe in it, want the government to pass massive new regulations and tax's to somehow combat it.

Isn't that a political act ?

Because all the solutions being proposed are political ones, that favor some groups, and harm others.

Look, climate changes all the time and has long before the invention of the SUV. So climate change is real, and would be if there were no human beings on this earth.

Now, is man-kind causing it? Perhaps. Heck, for the sake of argument, I'll even say yes.

Where the problem lies is in the predictions? The alarmists, such as Al Gore, would have you believe we'll all die if nothing is done. That NYC will be under 20 feet of water. This is simply not true. We are talking inches of sea level rise, not 20 feet.

Some areas will be losers, no doubt. But other areas, particularly cold northern climates, will be big winners if things get warmer. History has demonstrated this to be true. When we had the last period of major warming back in the 12th and 13th Centuries, man-kind thrived. Crops grew easier. Wild-life did better. Even today, far more people die from exposure to cold than from heat.

It's political, because the Socialists and Communists have latched on to GW alarmism, as an excuse to push the agendas that got little popular support before.

UPDATE: That first question the survey asks is a loaded one. Have mean global temperatures risen compared to pre-1800s levels? Of course they have. Because we were in the Little Ice Age then, which ran from approximately 1350 to 1850. I for one have no wish to return to the conditions during the Little Ice Age.

I also find it telling that one of the biggest groups of doubters is meteorologists, you know, the folks that actually monitor temperatures ever day, and who look at records to see if today is hotter than the record set in 1927 or whatever.

Well the first thing you must understand is that everybody is SELLING something.

So what are Scientists selling? Well they sell their services as researchers.

Now this is all well and good, but understand they only make money by saying "further research is needed" - in other words a Profitable Scientists is one who foresees a Crisis that's not fully understood.

Oh surely no you say - Scientists are only interested in 'truth' & Doctors are only interested in 'health'.

Well it's not quite that simple is it? Doctors don't want you to die, they want you to pay money for continuous treatment. And Scientists don't want to lie, but.... well exaggerating the problem a bit is good for the bottom line.

You see the AGW experts are being funded by Politicians & they are saying there is a crisis coming so "further research is needed" which means it's important to pay huge energy taxes to the Politicians funding us.

Global Warming has not 'become' a political issue because Science has NEVER been divorced from Politics, just like Medicine has never been divorced from money.

But AGW has risen in significance, specifically because the massive taxation & restrictive regulation on energy use it entails has profoundly negative effects on our currently weak economy.

Most now feel the 'science' has been exaggerated. Some think it's an outright lie.

I lean towards the latter. Personally I don't think our 0.01% increase in CO2 means $hit.

Even the euroidiots of CERN have backed off of their ridiculous claim that humans cause climate change.

You need to get your data from someone other than the "greenies" and from some year past 1977.

No one is denying that global warming (and cooling) is taking place. The +problem+ is that there bad decisions being made with information from the hysteria which is being created by the alarmists.

Here is truth about global warming:

Global warming is one-half of the climatic cycle of warming and cooling.

The earth's mean temperature cycles around the freezing point of water.

This is a completely natural phenomenon which has been going on since there has been water on this planet. It is driven by the sun.

Our planet is currently emerging from a 'mini ice age', so is

becoming warmer and may return to the point at which Greenland is again usable as farmland (as it has been in recorded history).

As the polar ice caps decrease, the amount of fresh water mixing with oceanic water will slow and perhaps stop the thermohaline cycle (the oceanic heat 'conveyor' which, among other things, keeps the U.S. east coast warm).

When this cycle slows/stops, the planet will cool again and begin to enter another ice age.

It's been happening for millions of years.

The worrisome and brutal predictions of drastic climate effects are based on computer models, NOT CLIMATE HISTORY.

As you probably know, computer models are not the most reliable of sources, especially when used to 'predict' chaotic systems such as weather.

Why is it important at all to force people to believe something? I believe there is a subtle and reversible global warming but I am not obsessed with trying to make every one believe something. What kind of approach is that to politics? You must believe this, now you believe it or else. Its same with evolution. Why do I care if some state wants to teach creationism or evolution? What business is that of mine. Kids will learn what is correct. I don't hate people for what they believe, why would you? Part of being a liberal is wanting to force everyone to do something...why is that? So what is the point of your statement? I doubt 97% but I do think some of what of you say is correct. Now, does that mean I have to try to shout down those who disagree, or hate them or want to kill them? Chill out man.

How long has climate change existed? 4.5 billion years? How old is the earth? About 4.5 billion years? How long has man existed? Maybe 100 to 200 thousand years. Can you add 2 and 2?

In order to believe in man made climate change you have to believe man has been around for 4.5 billion years or you have to believe the climate never changed until humans made their appearance. Or you just like being conned by the newest religion that says you will die if you don't follow their rules (rules that the rule givers don't follow).

Nearly all scientists work very hard to get grants from government to do research. Climate Change is grossly exaggerated. Anyone who worries about the global apocalyptic disasters that they sometimes claim is a very gullible fool.
