Since liberals want to help the poor, why don't they overpay their taxes?
Why don't liberals overpay their taxes? It's perfectly legal. And why do they take tax deductions (or loopholes/corporate welfare as they like to call it when other people or corporations use them)?
Aren't they stealing from the poor? If they are going to scream for higher taxes for others, shouldn't they start the ball rolling by refusing any deductions - even the standard exemption for themself and their family members?
And why do liberals donate money to charities when the government knows better how to spend money than the private sector? Shouldn't they be giving all their donations to the Feds instead of Greenpeace, the Humane Society, and other private charities?
Liberals - please explain this to me. If you believe in what you say, why don't your actions back it up?

Let me just say thank you for pointing out the obvious here. The goverment isn't preventing all these liberal hacks from donating all their profits to the government. Turns out, they want others to do it but don't want to do it themselves. This is the walking contradiction of the Democrats, among many others.

It's only the liberals who make little or no money that want the "rich" to pay more. Most rich liberals don't want to pay more and have their lawyers and accountants just like cons do to make sure they pay as little in taxes as possible.

I think we should. But perhaps we also should not bailout banks and auto companies. They're filthy rich, so why should we care?

Because one person paying extra isn't going to help much - but if everyone pays more, then the deficit could be lowered. They are using an ancient art called "math".

Because they don't want to pay more taxes. They want everyone else to pay more taxes.
