Christians, do you think if a person celebrates Halloween, they will go to Hell?

I have celebrated Halloween my whole life, but not in a Demonic way. More as a fun, clean way. Is this a sin according to God?

Update:

@InHisFlock: Whos Flock are you really walking in?

This answer is condensending and has no explanation.

Where is your Bible Scripture? I am not interested in just your opinion. If you want to advertise you are part of the Flock, than shouldn't you be walking in Love? Also shouldn't you be able to quote a Bible Scripture to show that it is from the Word of God, and not just your opinion?

Seriously.

As believers, we are called to "Test everything. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil. [1 Thesalonians 5:21-22] Who can deny that virtually all of the symbols of Halloween are evil? Witches, monsters, ogres, vampires, ghosts, ghouls, goblins, devils and demons all portray evil. Christians are to "... have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them." [Ephesians 5:11]

Should the church be compromised by accommodating itself to the culture? Answer: NO! "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." [Romans 12:2] "For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial?" [2 Corinthians 6:14, 15] When America and the world celebrates the Festival of Samhain and the powers of darkness by masquerading as evil creatures or decorating our homes, schools, businesses and churches with occult symbols, Satanic power is glorified.

The sort of practices celebrated on Halloween are what defiled the ancient nations [see Leviticus 18:24-30]. The Israelites were warned against such practices when they entered the Promised Land, "When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations." [Deuteronomy 18:9]

We are all accountable for our choices and decisions. Ignorance is no excuse. The choice is up to you. Do you struggle with giving it up because "it's just fun" and an innocent opportunity for children to dress up and collect candy? Let God show you what he would have you do. As an alternative to the celebration of evil and death, Christians should rather do what Christians are supposed to do every day and that is shine the light of Jesus Christ.

no remember if or no person will have been given to "hell", even though that fairly is, is in God's arms and, in accordance to the Bible, God is merciful and sees your innermost coronary heart. God knows what your intentions are and in the event that they are good, or merely to have a yet of exciting, i don't see there being a topic. the thought Hallowe'en is evil or satanic or pagan may be traced back to the time of the Puritans. They rejected all the Catholic feasts, fairly All Saints and All Souls (Nov a million and a pair of) from which Hallowe'en began - All Hallows Eve, hallow ability Saint; it began because of the fact the Eve of All Saints Day. while Puritans have been given to be in cost in Britain and in early settlements in united statesa., they banned the occasion. everyone who carried on with their human beings customs grew to become into denounced as a papist, a devil worshipper, a pagan, a witch - something nasty they might think of of. those ideas proceed to be basic among Evangelicals in the two international places. of direction, in traditionally Catholic international places like Spain, Italy and Latin united statesa. besides as some protestant (Lutheran) ones, the occasion continues to be particularly approximately remembering the Saint (All Saints) and people who've died (All Souls).

The day after is All Saints Day so it's the Eve of the Saints in my opinion. It's totally relative to your beliefs. If you believe it's evil and sinful - full of black magic - well, then it is. If you think it's fun and time to dress up and get some candy and tell a joke - its not. Jesus knows your heart so don't worry about it

Nahhh I don't think so. Maybe if it's in a demonic way. But my church even celebrates Halloween, so I really don't think so. Halloween is also Saints Day for Catholics, so in a way, they celebrate it too.

I don't celebrate Halloween, I indulge in all the delicious little goodies it brings. Indulge, being the key word.

No, but Halloween is the honored day of witchcraft and human sacrifice. I no longer celebrate this day..I did for many years until I realized I was promoting evil.

The church I went to thought it was.

I think it's a sin that my kids missed out on a few of them.
