Wardrobe staples for teens?

-neutral colored basic pieces such as tank tops, camis & cardigans. Think navy blue, tan, black, white & grey. Vnecks are also a necessity cuz they can be paired with like anything. Get basic colors and then a few fun colors.For jeans, get variety, such as skinny, bootcut, etc. You really only need 1 pair of long black leggings so they could be tucked into boots as well as normal shoes. For skirts, you need a printed one, like floral patterns which are popular right now, and a highwaisted one so you can tuck so many things into it. A black (preferably bodycon) skirt is also a basic that goes with anything. Belts are really important because they can be used to cinch anything and bring an outfit together or make a top look completely different. Buy a few loose tops like from Forever21 because they can be cinched with a belt, worn normally, tucked in, etc. Braided things are in right now but can also be used after the trend passes because they're basic. Braided belts from f21 aren't expensive at all! For shoes, you need a basic pair of vans in grey or black, some flats in colors that most match your wardrobe, and maybe a pair of ankle boots until winter. You need at least 1 hoodie, preferably more though, and some sweatpants. Jewelry is important, but mainly necklaces. Look for long ones, and don't invest too much. Again, f21 has cute cheap ones, so does Body Shop & Wet Seal. A casual dress is a basic because it can be worn with a skirt depending on length, belted, etc. This is probably more than you asked for but yeah here you go haha

I think a good wardrobe is just made up of cute clothes. It has to have variety so like lots of dresses, skirts and cute tops. I think you should go to American Eagle I was just there today and they have a lot of really cute shirts like flannels and peasant tops, but they have a whole table of basic tees in lots of different colors. You could also try Forever 21 they have TONS of cute skirts, long sleeve tops and tanks there! Just get a bunch of basic tees and plain tanks in different colors. Get some neutral colored cardigans to mix and match. Also get a few cute tops. Hollister and Abercrombie I believe are having a big sale right now so check
