Its called a contradiction - And if you're christian you better get used to them?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hym8DHBbUVg
The bible is riddled with contradictions, some of them more serious than others. If a book is this inconsistent, why then is it deemed a credible source of information for Christians?
@Elyon there you go quoting from a book that's so inconsistent it might as well just say red is purple and blue is red. That scripture reference may very well conflict with something that is said somewhere else in the bible.
@Joe, i've provided two links for you, if you would proceed to click on any one of them (the first is a youtube vid...everyone loves vids :D )
@Tristen i care very little as to what the contradictions are specifically, my main point is, if the book is fundamentally redundant as a moral compass/ source of knowledge....why then is it that at every mass, a reverend, minister, priest, wizard and warlock, whips out one of these and proceeds to fill the minds of innocents into believing it? Why not Charles Darwin's Origin of Species or JRR Tolkien's Lord Of the Rings?
@Joe, if you would just click on that first link, you'd see that there are contradictions in the numerical values of certain events. Do you really think that just with a bit of context a number can change numerical value??

The bible is like:
"A sky daddy created man and the sky daddy lives in a mystical placeNO FURTHER QUESTIONS!!!!! This book is 100% truth because it says so in this bookNO FURTHER QUESTIONS!!!!"
and then it's like
"If people start to realize that this book is complete bullshit then just be like 'LALALALALA' and ignore the contradicting evidence"
so then whenever a child asks
"Who created god?"
the funides just answer with
"He was always hereNO FURTHER QUESTIONS LALALALALA"
and then the quantum physicists ask
"The uncertainty principal [▲(x)▲(p) > hbar/2] clearly says that the universe is undetermined so why do you think that god has any plan?
and then the fundies are like
"LALALALALA I DON'T UNDERSTAND QUANTUM PHYSICS SO I WILL IMMEDIATELY ASSUME THAT GODDIDIT LALALALA"
and they do the same thing to every proven scientific concept that contradicts god.
*******
EDIT: See what I mean? The two questions below are like "LALALALALALALA". Pathetic.

Hey Joe P, get a load of these. No contradictions?
In Genesis 1, Adam is created after other animals; In Genesis 2, he appears before animals.
Matthew 1:16 and Luke 3:23 differ over Jesus's lineage.
Mark 14:72 differs from Matthew 26:74-75, Luke 22:60-61, and John 18:27 about how many times the cock crowed.
2 Samuel 24:1 and 1 Chronicles 21:1 differ over who incited David to take a census.
1 Samuel 17:23,50 and 2 Samuel 21:19 disagree about who killed Goliath.
1 Samuel 31:4-5 and 2 Samuel 1:5-10 differ over Saul's death.
The four Gospels differ about many details of Christ's death and resurrection (Barker 1990). For example, Matthew 27:37, Mark 15:26, Luke 23:38, and John 19:19 have different inscriptions on the cross.
Matthew 27:5-8 differs with Acts 1:18-19 about Judas's death.
Genesis 9:3 and Leviticus 11:4 differ about what is proper to eat.
Romans 3:20-28 and James 2:24 differ over faith versus deeds.
Exodus 20:5, Numbers 14:18, and Deuteronomy 5:9 disagree with Ezekiel 18:4,19-20 and John 9:3 about sins being inherited.
Also, there are several obvious factual errors in the bible:
Leviticus 11:6 states that rabbits chew their cud.
Leviticus 11:20-23 speaks of four-legged insects, including grasshoppers.
1 Chronicles 16:30 and Psalm 93:1 state that the earth is immobile; yet it not only revolves and orbits the sun but is also influenced by the gravitational pull of other bodies.
Anyone who thinks the bible is the absolute infallible word of God either isn't paying attention or is an idiot.

Let's see;
Jer 17 God's unending anger against Judah - Judah was never restored.
Mic 7 God's anger, then forgiveness of Israel - Israel has been restored.
Gen 22:1 Tempt = Hebrew "nacah" which means to test.
James 1:13 Tempt = Greek "peirazÅ" which means to entice to sin.
If you are so ready to believe alleged contradictions which are so easily remedied with the smallest amount of investigation, then you really aren't interested in giving fair consideration to our answers. Why bother asking the question?
*** Response to Additional Details ***
Respectfully, that wasn't the question you asked.
You accused the Bible of being unreliable based on the allegation of it being "riddled with contradictions". The video you used to evidence your argument was a biased, and unbalanced presentation of alleged contradictions, that could all easily be remedied with any meager attempt of objective research. And as remedies exist for these supposed contradictions, the evidence you presented fails to support your initial accusation.
I can't speak for wizards and warlocks, but the Bible is the foundational authority of the Christian faith. It is perfectly legitimate to use this resource in a Christian service. Especially given that your evidence of the Bible's unreliability is easily accounted for. It is perfectly rational given the context. Darwin and Tolkien would not generally be appropriate in the context of a Christian service.
No one can force anyone else into believing anything - not even the "innocents".

It's not a credible anything though I find it impossible to believe anyone can stay Christian with all these glaring inconsistencies

I'll let the Book answer:
1Cr 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.
No way can you possibly understand the supernatural without the supernatural Guide given to those who trust the Word of God. (also Hebrews 11:6-"without faith, it is impossible...")

It's called 'doublethink', and christians have been doing it for centuries.

There are no contradictions, not one, in the Bible.
There are readers who simply choose to reject God and cannot trust in His truth and refuse to learn and understand the inerrant word of God in the Bible.
-----------------------------
I don't need to view perceived contradictions that are not true contradictions that are created by people that hate God, are His enemies and refuse to examine scripture contextually (context being the entire Bible) and refuse to use hermeneutical, exegetical and theological principles.
