How can I upgrade my pc from windows xp in simplified chinese to windows 7 in english?

As the title, I have a laptop pc which is in simplified chinese.

I tried both Advised and Custom options but both of them couldn't be work...

But still I really want to upgrade my laptop to Windows 7...

For this installation I will prefer a total clean install, which means I don't care if I will lose all stuffs in this laptop.

But the only thing I'm worrying is if I perform the clean install will I lose the feature of using the wireless device which already in my laptop, if so can I find some way to work out with this problem?

Can anybody tell me the solution?

Do a clean install (here is how to install):

The following directions are to be performed from when your computer is off.

    1. Press the power button on your computer.

    2. Immediately after the computer is on, repeatedly press F12, until you are in the Boot Menu.

2a. If the computer boots as normal, turn off the computer, and repeat steps 1-2, replacing the action of pressing F12 with pressing another F-key. You can also attempt using ESC or DEL/Delete.

    3. Either way, you should be in the Boot Menu. Press the button next to your primary CD-ROM.

    4. Place an operating system installation disk on the CD-ROM tray.

    5. Press the button next to your primary CD-ROM.

    6. Use the arrow keys to highlight the option for booting from your CD-ROM.

    7. Press Enter.

    8. Press a key.

    9. Follow the directions to install the operating system.

In your case, for an operating system installation disk, use a Windows 7 installation disk. Be sure to select the "Custom" option instead of the "Upgrade" option when you see those two options together. You can also get the wireless device driver after you re-install. There is nothing to worry about. :)

There's no simple upgrade option from XP to Windows 7. Unlike upgrading from Vista to 7, like it or not, you are forced to delete everything on your hard drive and do a clean install. If you are concerned about your hardware especially your wireless adapter, run the Windows Upgrade Advisor first:

Anyway, chances are, Windows 7 will be able to detect your wifi adapter and install a suitable driver so you can immediately connect to the internet after installing Windows 7. If not, you have to get in advance the driver from the manufacturer's website.

You can NOT upgrade from XP to 7, you need to install an upgrade to a legal activated copy Vista first. Then to 7. Even then it often refuse to upgrade. Before you do anything check the manufacturer's site to see if they list any 7 drivers for it. If not you will need to stick to XP. If you do not mind a clean install you can just install the English version, but must use advanced options to delete all partitions and create a new one to load on.
