Why wasn't polygamy legalized before gay marriage?

Hi Chris,..That is a very good question,.Actually, when you think about it, the public attitude about such things,is molded, by the "controlled" media's treatment of the issues in question. Clearly, the media, has been pushing the "gay" agenda down our throats for years. But whenever a "polygamy" story is covered in the news, such as when a "polygamist" family is arrested, & prosecuted, the impression is always given that, somehow the women involved, are underage girls who have been "forced" into relationships with "old" men against their will, & any children involved are put into foster care. So, clearly, the "powers that be" are hostile to polygamy, as an institution. I note, with interest, that.on one hand, "gay" marriage has the tendency to "weaken" the institution of hetero/marriage by equating the two, both legally & morally,..while "polygamy", would "strengthen" hetero/marriage, because a "family", of three, or more,, is a stronger unite, than a family, of only two,..So, it is clear, that for forty years the institution of marriage has been under assault, by the forces of "feminism", & "political correctness", & the American & European, (dare I say it?) "white male", has been psycholodgically, castrated, by these movements. All of which is resulting in low birth rates, among whites, that foretell the EXTINCTION, of the white race, in this century,..This is NO accident,..because, POLYGAMY, is now legal in Europe,..But, ONLY, for Muslim men, who are allowed, up to four wives each, So, it being, common knowledge, that both the news & entertainment, media, are under the control, of a "particular", ethnic group, that considers themselves to be,.."chosen by God", to rule the world,.We can assume that the pro homo & anti polygamy attitudes in America, are being pushed by this ethnic group (which I dare not name), for reasons of their own,.. ..

Probably because there is a bigger group of people pushing for gay marriages than there is for polygamy.

I do not know about needing to be done prior to, but it should be done concurrent with. The same arguments they use for gay marriage are applicable to polygamy.

I have seen people mention abuse of tax code and dissolution of the marriage causing problems, but I am yet to see a solid example.

Along the heels of what someone else mentioned, the only state I know of that practices polygamy is Utah....But there could be others.

There is biblical precedent for beating your wife. It just isn't a good idea.

Gay marriage doesn't allow for abuse of the tax code as readily as polygamy does.

Because it's not fair to people who are too lame to sleep with multiple women, so most people are insanely jealous about it. They view men being gay in kind of a more women for me attitude. :P
