What kind of speakers/ subs should I put in my 2010 Mazda 3?

I just picked up a 2010 Mazda 3 and the stock stereo is awful.

I want much more bass, but not so much that my garage is vibrating or whatever.

Don't really know a lot about this subject, but my buddy said to buy 1 sub that has about 1000W and that should do the trick.

But as I look online, it says things like AMP needed and all this other stuff.

PLEASE HELP ME ASAP I have no idea what to do but want to stay under a $200 budget.

    I really don't think you'll find a nice subwoofer and amplifier for that budget.

    What size sub are you thinking about? 10" would suit you. But what type of music do you like? This will help determine the type of box you'll need for the sub.

    You'll need the sub, a box, an amp, wiring, fuse block, etc...
