Books for someone who wants to get a head start- Medical Books/ Biology/ Anatomy?

Im 15 years old and I would like to be a doctor when I'm older. I would like to get a head start on my studies. I want to be a doctor in the Diagnostic Medicine Department. Any books that would give me a head start and that would help along the way. Thanks

Update:

Or a general surgeon, something along those lines.

A wonderful profession like Diagnostic Medicine Department does require extensive insights into human anatomy and physiology studies. This is because Diagnostic Medicine is all about the chemical analysis of different medicines reacting in the human body.

I would recommend books by Frank Netter, Elaine Marieb and Dr. James Ross for a head start. These cover the essentials of medical biology with an extensive treatment of anatomy and physiology.

Hey man, don't worry about anatomy now, you have yet to even conquer basic biology and chemistry at the college level. You need to hurry up and get started as undergrad takes four years, med school is another 4 years, and a residency is 3-5 more years. Focus more on the stuff they test you for the MCAT (physics, math, basic and organic chemistry, basic bio courses). Anatomy is not necessary for the MCAT so focus on the other stuff.

I would definately get an Anatomy & Physiology book. You'll have to take Biology and Chemistry too, but I would start with Anatomy first. - Way to look ahead. Best of luck to you!

Biology from Campbell et al. Others will back me up on it.

It's the standard general biology textbook for good reason.

Shop for an old edition online, and they're quite cheap.
