Could I go into higher education in America?
So, Im watching the news and every single day I hear more and more headlines about how university fees are sky high and how people arent getting places, or getting employed after their course (etc, etc)
My parents really cant afford these crazy £9,00 per year fees and im starting to think British university isnt a good idea, especially when rates of employment are decreasing aswell.
This is a random 'lightbulb' moment, but i'd really love some information about if I could go into higher education in America. I'll be 18, and would like to do a fashion design course.
Is there anywhere i could go to do this in america? Also, how much are the fees?
I have 2 years to plan this :)

Your parents don't have to pay the £9,000 a year. You will be able to borrow it and pay it back later.
University in America will cost a lot more than that and there are no government loans available to you. My daughter's US university costs £30,000 a year and that does not include travel or health insurance.
If your parents can't afford £9,000 how were you planning to finance £30,000?

Hi Girlie, the fees here are sky-high as well. This year the UC fees are increasing by 10.5%, and it's absolutely ridiculous.
There's plenty of places you could do this in America though, Pratt maybe?
