how much does an x-ray cost at an NHS dentist?

I have a wisdom tooth that has been unable to emerge for about 10 years and the last dentist I went to said they couldn't take it out until it starts to show through my gums but the only way for it to go is through the side of my top jaw because it is stuck above my teeth. Most of the time i don't feel anything but recently it feels like it has been trying to push out

An xray is done as part of the initial examination appointment and is as priced in the link below and is £17. If you feel the situation has changed then see a dentist again.

You will not be able to simply pay for an xray on it's own unless you pay on a private basis and that will be more than the all in NHS first visit fee.
