Have your parents ever told you that they...?
...almost named you another name besides the one that you have now? If so, what is/are the name[s]?
Do you prefer any of those names than the one you have now? Why or why not?
I was almost Kimberly. lol. I like Erika better to be honest.

My parents did not know they were having twins They chose the name David Gabriel. When I unexpectedly showed up, they split the name between us (I was the latter born, so I got his middle name). It's a good name to have. It's well established and recognizable, so people don't have a problem with the pronunciation or spelling (usually). But it's a little outside the norm, and uncommon enough that I don't share it with a lot of other people.

My name is Jean Elizabeth.
At first my mother told me she was convinced she would name me Valeria (with an "a" pronounced in spanish). Eventually she got tired of people miss pronouncing it (while I was still in her belly) so she decided on Francia (again with an "a", which is how you say France in spanish), she decided to change it one more time two months before she was due because at her last dr appointment, the dr had miss pronounced it. So she decided on Juliet, an old but lovely name. How did I end with Jean Elizabeth? Well, that's still a mystery. Actually its not. She told me that one week before she due, she and my dad had an argument about something stupid which turned to my name somehow, my dad complaint about how he was not able to name his own daughter, so my mother yelled at him "Come up with a better name if you can!! I doubt so!" My dad suggested Jean, and my mother suddenly calm and relaxed said "Perfect". They added Elizabeth the day after I was born, which was completely out of nowhere. So Jean Elizabeth was born and they lived happily every after. The End.

Yep they have! Though I'm fairly sure I asked about it instead of them telling me (: I was nearly named Fiona, Amelia or Gisele. If I was a boy, I'd be named Jack.
They didn't actually decide on Lily until right before I was born. Lily suits me best from the four I think... I don't know whether I could pull off Gisele, though I do think Fiona would suit me as well. Amelia is my favourite of the three, but I think the similar Emilia would suit me more.
(:

I was almost Sydney Reagan Marie, but my mother had an argument with my grandmother about my name and now I am Leigha Brinley Marie. I like Leigha better because it is much less common than Sydney - in fact, I know a few.

I was going to be Lindsay but then my mum worked with a woman called Lindsay and didn't like her so completely went off the name.
Then when I was born my parents still had no idea what they were going to call me and then my dad came up with Laura which I prefer!

I was almost a Rachel :) I wish I would have been because my name is Cassandra and an amazing number of people think it's pronounced cass-on-dra. Or I get called Cassie, which I hate. Plus then my initials would have been RAB. Harry Potter fans know why that's significant. ;)

I was almost Aurora Belle instead of Jasmine Arielle lol, but they named me Jasmine and my twin sister Aurora, :).
I love my name and my twin sister loves her name and we are glad we got the ones we did, even though we both love each others names too lol.
I'm just glad my mom didn't have my twin and I any sooner then we did or we would have been named Billie Storm and Bobbie Rayne lol.

I was almost named Fatima or Veronica. I honestly like my name better right now, which is Cynthia. I think Fatima is ugly because of the FATima and Veronica is just kinda plain but still pretty.
