Can you put images in the actual email of a Yahoo message?

When using Yahoo mail, is it possible to put images into the actual message so you can see them? Or can you only do it as an attachment? There isn't an option to "make attachment visible" or "show attachment in message" ?

    1. The first thing to do before you can add an image to a Yahoo email is to upload the image to a web server if it does not already exist on one.

Do a Google search for "free image hosting" and choose one that meets your needs.

    2.

Make sure to use rich text formatting in Yahoo mail. Otherwise you won't be able to get it to display properly. Most likely your account is set to use rich text automatically.

When you click on the "Compose" button to start a new message, there is underlined text below the subject box and next to the "Attach files" button.

This just toggles the setting between rich text and plain text. If it says "Plain Text," then it is already set to rich text and clicking on "Plain Text" will toggle it to plain text.

If it says "Rich Text," then click on it to set it to use rich text.

Go to the web page containing the image. Highlight the image with your cursor so that the image is shaded.

Copy and paste it directly into the body of the email where you want the image to be seen. It will display the image itself in the email you are sending.

If it displays only the URL, it didn't work and you should try it again. Make sure to highlight only the image itself and copy and paste it with your keyboard commands.

You can have any photo including an animated gif that is already on the web. Place the picture on the web. For example Flickr or Photobucket.

There is no way to have an inline image directly from your computer in Yahoo mail on the web. It requires a separate email program.

For IE go to the picture and right click on it and copy. Now go to the email body or signature and paste it.

For Firefox it is a little trickier. Go to the picture in another window. You must be able to see the picture and the email window at the same time. Drag the picture to the email body or signature. NOTE: The picture you are dragging must not be a link, eg. clickable. If it is a link the link address gets copied rather than the picture.

The picture must remain on the web since a link is used and not the actual picture.
