Am I wrong in this situation (parents keep "borrowing" money)?

I guess the more important question is, "Do they pay it back?" If so, I don't think it's that big a deal. They may have just hit a rough spot. The economy is in pretty bad shape these days. If they don't or can't pay it back, then just give them what you can afford to lose, unless it gets excessive. They have spent a lot of money raising you. Helping them out when they need it is the least you can do. I am talking about normal borrowing here...not money for alcohol or drugs or other unnecessary things.

Well, if its that kind of situation where your parents know you have hard earned cash and tend to reach out and grab or in other cases borrow your money without paying you back fully then you are in the wrong situation. But if you think they aren't going to return the favor and they haven't yet then they will. But if your parents are the "I'll get to it" type then you are wrong in this situation. But in order to recieve better feedback, I'd need more information on your question. Thanks.

There is nothing wrong with parents borrowing money.... However!... If they keep "Borrowing" and not paying it back.. just don't allow yourself to be used! Parents can love you but some people still might be tempted to get money from WHOEVER will give it to them!.. Even their KIDS!

No...but it depends what they really need it for. Do you still live with your parents? and how old are you? Do they work? and what did they borrow money for in the past?

My mom has a hard time paying the bills on our mortgage, I try to offer her some of my work money but she declines because she thinks that it would make her a bad parent. Really, altruism never hurts.
