Watford City North Dakota Oil Job Op?

I have an opportunity to work for a large oil company in Watford City, ND. It pays very very well, but the hours are long, and it is in the middle of no where (I think). Maybe it is great, but I have read some hunting forums that complain about the oil trucks, roads, etc.

I do bow hunt and the Badlands look inviting but I am wondering if it is complete chaos or a high paying job with a lot of hours (is there a catch?). I am willing to work hard but do not want to end up in a bad situation. Anyone with experience or advice?

Update:

Thank you all for the responses. I have a friend in Watford who is building a house and will rent me the basement at a low cost in about 2 months. I know it is constant work and good money but is there anything to do but work, sleep and maybe hunt?

Be safe all & Thank you...

I've talked with a few people who work there, and according to them it is very hard work with long hours. That said, it's a great opportunity for a hard working person, especially in this economy. ND has a 4% unemployment rate largely due to the oil fields. I'm in SD and have done some hunting in NW SD, which is similar territory to the area you're thinking about. It's beautiful, desolate country with plentiful game. Bow hunting there should be quite good.

People will always complain about something, and the oil trucks no doubt irritate people who have long been accustomed to the nearly complete isolation of western ND. That said, there is a LOT of western ND. Miles and miles of basically nothing. Beautiful nothing, often. New services and amusements will be being built (and probably already are), but at the present, I'll allow that there's probably not a lot for a person to do in his time off. From what I hear, there is a lot of oil and these fields will be being worked well into the foreseeable future.

I have been up here working for 3 years. (In Watford) It is a total ZOO! My family is from AK and helped build the pipeline and said this boom is even crazier than that. The money is good, but it's expensive to live up here and to say housing is an issue would be the understatement of the century.
