help about my belly button piercing?!?

okay. so i had my belly button pierced 3 weeks ago yesterday. the other day, my friend bought me a belly button bar, so i sterilized it, took out my first one, cleaned around it and put the new one in. it didn't have much room to move, so i repeated the steps and put my old one back in. it was okay the day after(thursday) but yesterday(friday) and today, it feels painful&there is blood around the top hole(inside). im cleaning it twice a day with salt water(kettle water of course). any other ideas?does it sound like my belly piercing is infected?im really worried. thank you, much appreciatedxoxo.

No, it sounds irritated, probably as its the same as getting a cut on your arm, letting it half heal, cutting down deeper into it then doing the same thing again.

Leave this belly bar in, it allows for swelling as well as being a pure metal (probably) to help get rid of infection. If it was infected it would have green puss, not blood, and would be hot to the touch, Clean the blood from it and keep it clean and dry for the next week, if it doesn't heal then go back to your piercer who will advise you on what to do.

listen to me...ITS NOT INFECTED -_-

you shouldnt have changed it so soon thats all

you should cut back from the salt water, do it once a day, soak for 10mins.

the peircing needs time to dry up so too much liquid wont help much...cause u do shower too, when you take a shower, wash around it with Dial Antibacterial Hand Soap, NOT regular soap. ($2 at walmart)

    Good Luck.! u'll b okay :)

Source(s): I got mines done too :) 4months now and its great...mines got irritated when i changed it to a Dingling Bellyring that was too heavy, so Stay away from that right now.

actually it does kinda sound infected. you shouldn't of taken the piercing out because it takes like 6-8 months to heal, sometimes even 2 years. really it may look healed on the outside, but it takes longer to heal on the inside. i just got mine done last month, and im so anxious to change it but i dont wanna risk an infection!!

you should call your piercer, they would be super helpful in this situation!

it could be closing up a bit because if it`s tighter then yeah and if it has puss like green sticky stuff then yeah i used to have my eyebrow and lip done ( still got my nose done though ) but when i had my eyebrow done it got infected bad a big air bubble thing full of puss was in it it was horrid and it crusted to i finally got someone too take it out and after it my eyebrow was healing up then it started to get flakes on that eyebrow i had it for ages but i finally got rid of it but that`s because i got my eyebrow doen in turkey should of got it back home but never trusting them again. just keep the bar in clean it as usual and see how that goes down but if you see any puss id go to your piercer and explain good luck!
