Br. Keratin Treatment: Can this be used as a precursor to Japanese Straightening?
Say your hair is weak and fragile, thus not a good candidate for the harsh Japanese Hair Straightening, would it be possible to strengthen the hair with multiple Brazilian Keratin Treatments spanning the course of 1 year (about 4-6 BKT total), enough so that it WOULD be able to tolerate the Japanese Hair Straightening?

They're BOTH chemicals NOT approved by the FDA.
Keratin are not approved by the FDA. Visit their website & search for it in their web. If you're thinking about the Brazilian treatment, there's a danger about using formaldehyde, a chemical that causes cancer. The FDA does not restrict the use of that chemical in cosmetics.
The official complaints against hair straightening products range from serious hair breakage and hair damage to serious scalp burns that may require an emergency room visit.
Relaxers Warning: they're not permanent, that's $300 - $500 each time you get them done. One I responded, she had hers done in March and this is now May when she posted it? It is a billion dollar business, and they do not give money back guarantee for damaged hair or hair loss due to 'abuse', in this case, cancer.
