You can often successfully recover deleted photo video and other files from a PC, it all depends on what has happened since the files were deleted.

When you delete files the data itself isn’t deleted, just the index entry that tells the system where the data for those files is located. The area containing the deleted data is also now marked as free space so it is available for any new files to be written there instead.

If and when that happens, then it is too late to recover your deleted files so it is very, very important to not save any new files or data to the device concerned.

One of the easiest ways to see if you can recover deleted files is to try some good file recovery software. One I used to use is asoftech data recovery program which you can download from site below

To recover all types of deleted files you can download Wondershare Data Recovery -> http://j.mp/1qaILqQ

Any time that a file is deleted on a hard drive, it is not erased. Instead, the information that points to the location of the file on the hard drive is erased. This pointer, along with other pointers for every folder and file on the hard drive, is saved in a section near the beginning of the hard drive and is used by the operating system to compile the directory tree structure. By erasing the pointer file, the actual file becomes invisible to the operating system. Eventually, the hard drive will write new data over the area where the old file is located. The data recovery utilities search for data on the hard drive that does not have corresponding pointer information and present you with a list of these files. Your chances of fully recovering a file diminish the longer you wait after you deleted the file since the probability that the file has been overwritten increases.

could be restored, if no longer deleted previously(then there's a chane of overwritting). you will detect them in 'gadget quantity advice'(a hidden folder) of thecontinual(the place the document replaced into saved). however that is extremely tedious. so so which you may use restoration application. there are various. basically seek in Google. i exploit 'Recuva'.

one of the top apps ive used is

    EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard Professional

    (but its not free)

    WARNING:

    DON'T DEFRAG YOUR SYSTEM

(if your running windows vista or windows 7)

right click on the drive you deleted them from and select properties, then tools, then click defrag and were it says AUTO DEFRAG Schedule.. turn it off ASAP

defraging makes it a lot harder to recover files & vista & 7 are set to auto defrag....

Source(s): working tricks since 2001.. from 3.11 through to Windows 7
