What's the lowest number and x out of the three?

    6x^3

What's the lowest (no number) y out of the three?

    y^2

    Now mind any negatives.

It should be: 6x^3y^2 (the last one).

    If you take it out...

    6x^3y^2 (2xy^2 - 4y + 1)

Look at it number to number and variable to variable.

    GCF (12, 24, 6) = 6

    GCF (x^4, x^3, x^3) = x^3

    GCF (y^4, y^3, y^2) = y^2

Thus the GCF you're looking for is 6x^3 y^2
