You could try thoroughbreds. I wouldn't look at ONLY thoroughbreds, though. It all depends on the individual horse. Some thoroughbreds are quite slow and pokey. Just like some arabians have amazing temperaments (contrary to popular belief). I'd look for a specific horse to what you want, not a whole breed.
