Is US Airways really that bad?

I booked a flight from Houston, TX to NYC, NY for next month on US Airways...I really wish I'd have checked the reviews before I'd booked because I've heard nothing but horror stories about them! Are they really that bad? I'm going up there for my birthday and I am praying that my trip doesn't get screwed up behind incompetence!

Update:

I've been reading the reviews and I am totally freaking out...I don't want to wish anything bad onto myself but oh my goodness I have never heard such awful things about an airline! I'm just going to hope for the best...and prepare for the worst. :(

    I've never had a bad experience with them. I'm from Houston and I live in NY. Have a fun trip, hope the flight is okay.

    I fly first class with them (because I have elite status with their partner) and it sucks.

    It's because US airways was a bunch of small (and terrible) airlines that joined together to make one (almost all of their planes look different on the inside).

    US Airways is a quite responsible airline.Don't worry about your bookings if they are not on chance.
