As a straight person, it seems most of the LGBT community's identity is sexual activity and preferences?

What else is there besides liking the same sex?

Update:

By that I mean "hooking up". Now that I read this it sounds like most straight people too, doesn't it?

BTW, I do believe that monogamous gay couple should have medical and visitation and legal rights to property, wills, powers of attorney, etc.

You answered your own Question. I feel the same about straight people.

Most human beings want to have romance and sex, so of course there are elements of attraction, sex and such.

But consider, you have to look for "the right kind of girl" in the "straight community" too.

I'm a member of the Gay Christian Network -- some of the nicest human beings I've ever met. Besides sexuality, we have God in common, and that makes a big difference to me because we tend to share the same values.

Well, yes. because lets face it. It's about sex. (in so many words.) Other parts of it include transitioning, what its like being in a relationship with the same sex, and struggles that come with it.

This is basically the "Singles and Dating" section but for LGBT.
