Cashing a check vs depositing a check?
I have always deposited checks written to me into my bank account. I just heard of cashing a check. What is that and what is the difference?

You can draw your cheque ' self ' and write the amount and go to the bank and by giving that cheque
you get money. It is cashing a cheque.(withdrawing cash) If you have received a cheque in your favour from others and the cheque is not crossed you can go to that bank and cash the cheque.
When you deposit a cheque you account will be credited after that cheque is collected.

If you cash it, you get the money immediately.
