What happens in Cricket if the batted ball hits and busts the non-striker's stumps?

Is it "hit wicket"? A run-out if the n-s is not in the crease? Howzat?

If a shot crashes into non-striker's end, without any touch from the fielders/bowler then its treated as just a normal shot & nothing else,it can go for runs or boundary or for no run at all. If its deflected on the stumps by fielders/bowler & if the non-striker is out of his crease or doesn't get back in time, he is declared only Run Out !!

Even if the runner is out of crease, if the busted portion of the ball had not been touched by the fielder, then he is not out.
