Thinking of one word but type something completely different?
I have heard of Verbal Apraxia where you think of one word but say something completely different, but does this also apply when typing or writing? This has been happening more frequently. Where for example I meant to type the word "swollen" and ended up writing "slowing" and more than once in the same email. It seems silly but when you are working and emailing or sending a letter to a client it is pretty embarrassing because I can re-read it and see the word I thought I wrote or typed and it not be it. I also am forgetting letters, for example instead of writing "and" I leave out the "d" or "think" becomes "thing" and having written "thinging". Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

well it might be an attention deficit disorder. I find that only happens to me when I am unable to pay attention, and it sounds like you have a severe version of that.

I meant to type the word "because" and typed the word "but". They only have one letter in common and don't make sense when used interchangeably. Whether I'm looking at the screen or not, I do this on occasion. I thought I was just going nuts. Wish I knew what it was.

I do it so much I came looking on the net to see if I was the only one. Thought maybe it was my age 75, but somehow I don't think so. I find it very annoying though.

O_O If it happened, it has to be true.
