Help building ported box?
I am going to build a ported box for my two diamond d3's (12"). I want to do a crx style box (subs up,port back). I am going to put a square port on the back but I am not sure if the port is big enough. I entered my numbers in a port size calculator, but it just looked a little small. Also any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Port Area (6"W,8"H) and 12.93" deep tuned to 35hz
Box volume (including port) 3.95'^3
Box dimensions 42W,14.5H,15D.

that will be ok.
the rule of thumb is that you want between 12 and 16 square inches of port opening per cubic foot of airspace. you have 12.15 sq. in. per cubic foot.
