What's with all those greedy lower income people not wanting tax increases?

Why should the rich people who can afford it pay their fair share when there are so many times more poor in this country due to republican policies? Poor people who out number rich people 30 to 1, are the ones who need to pay more taxes.

If you balance the budget by taxing the rich, then the economy pays for it 2 fold later on. Those are the laws of supply side economics, which works.

The only reason supply side economic policies have failed to produce economic growth even once in the history of man kind, is because it has not been executed to perfection because of all the damn liberals.

Update:

Poor people don't pay taxes? Oh. I guess there's no such thing as a payroll tax, which takes chunk of their income many times larger than the rich. I guess there aren't any sales taxes are there? I guess there's no such thing as a property tax.

Update 2:

Right! The rich create jobs with extra money. Yeah, okay. They don't keep any of it for themselves or anything. They don't have any foreign bank accounts or bond funds on wall street or anything like that.

And by the way, when we say "the rich" who exactly are we talking about? Mostly we're talking about corporations, not people. Corporations that aren't people. Does all that money get funneled into the pockets of a few people at the top? Yes. But if that person at the top wanted to put that money back into the economy to help people guess what happens. He gets fired, that's what. Corporations don't think, they don't feel, they act according to programmed laws and the people inside them are all expendable. They're not even American for christ sake.

Update 3:

Listen up Slash: You're preaching supply side economics. That shtt don't work. It's been shown not to work for decades, and you can't point to a single shred of real world evidence that shows it actually does work.

It's a theory that has been disproved. It just doesn't work.

The neo-cons have already legalized enough corporate actions that the corporations are the silent government. The only way to change this is to vote democrat. Heck, vote green, vote canary. . .just don't vote republican.

The poor people pay no taxes - they need to pay their fair share.

We would get more tax revenue from 200 million people paying $100/mth than a few hundred rich people.

90% of the jobs in this country come from small business - most of those owners are considered "rich" - Corporations only provide a small percentage of jobs in this country most are overseas.

You don't increase sales tax on the rich only - that point is mute.

The Long Term solution is to create more tax payers ie more jobs - that isn't going to happen so I think this country is screwed long term anyway.

I understand your logic of raping & pillaging the rich while the country still exists - probably our only short term option.

Most poor people live in subsidized housing - therefore they pay no property taxes.

Most poor people get huge tax refunds at the end of the year - basically they get all their taxes paid back to them & then some.

Why should we tax the rich? The wealthy are benevolent and create jobs for us. If we tax them, they'll stop creating wealth. What we should do is not tax the rich at all, as a reward for their sacrifice and hard work, and start taxing the poor and working class at 70% as a punishment for their lives of failure and mediocrity. We should then give that tax money to the rich, who deserve it, so they can keep creating jobs for us.

Tax to a poor person = no medicine or milk

Tax to a rich person = delay buying my 3rd yacht.

You're wrong. Most poor people get a refund even though they paid nothing in.
