How bad would the Hurricane Irene create an impact to NYC and surrounding areas?

Most of my family members live in New Jersey in Middlesex county. Should I be worried about my family?

Update:

You gave same answer to everyone's question. That doesn't help.

It is too early to predict where Irene will travel and how strong Irene will be. Especially 3 or more days in advance. If Irene does keep traveling north, it can encounter cold dry air will can weaken it or kill it out. You can get more information here http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/graphics_at4.shtml?5-daynl...
