Nope :)

Once connected to wifi your iphone will use that as a preferred internet connection.

WiFi does not cost a penny on your o2 iPhone tariff.

Hello, As long as you connect to your WiFi correctly on your phone and the small wireless symbol is present at the top (you know the one, it is a dot and 2 curves) your phone will use that connection first. So your o2 allowance is not touched.

One thing to remember when doing this (and people often forget) is it will now use your data allowance on your home WiFi instead, so if Virgin have given you a cap on this bear it in mind.

Virgin are usually very generous with the data caps on home broadband so it is probably not a worry unless you are a heavy user (ie movies etc) or someone else in your household is.

Your virgin media wifi is nothing to do with o2.

No. That's the point - it saves mobile data and is faster.
