How do I download a picture from the Internet to my iPad? Or is it not possible?
The reason I'm wondering is because my mom's iPad needs a picture of a dog/puppy if anyone can help me do this that would be appreciated.

Go to the website and click and hold the picture until a menu pops up from the bottom. Click save image. Enjoy!

Not sure. I haven't really had an iPad before.. you might want to go to it's main sight and see if you can find some help there. Or google it.
