Where I grew up we were taught we should pay our fair share, or we were bums. We all enjoy the benefits. I would be embarrassed if I put nothing into the pot all the time. It is fine short term, but not acceptable to me to ask my brother to pay everything all the time. I certainly would not feel obliged to vote on anything!
