I live and work near London (Surrey)

We have thermometers on site and record the temperature 3 times a day

The hottest it has been this year,on my site was 36C/97F on 23rd April

Our summers seem to be hotter at the start than later in the season, this August has been fairly miserable,we have had 3 days of heavy rain this week alone (4 if you include last Saturday afternoon)

I live 30 miles away from central London and, speaking from experience, I can confirm that the temperature NEVER gets to 105 degrees.

UK weather is very 'up and down', one day it's hot and the next it's raining. A mega-hot day to us is when it's 30 degrees centigrade, which is roughly 86 degrees farenheit. Doesn't happen that often though. August is considered to be in the middle of summer and temperatures, on a good day, range from mid 70s to low 80s.

We can get 4 seasons in one day. We have had snow in June, and sweltering in December. The last three years we have had very bad summers, but our springs are something to see .That is the reason we all flock to the Continent for our holidays. 105 degrees? no thanks.

It has reached 100F but it's very rare. Mostly, you will experience around 75F. It's not unusual to go over 80F.
