help with my 10 month old who has a fever! 10 PTS best answer!?
so yesterday when my son woke up he had a high fever (39.3) and he wasn't keeping his food down. I took him immediately to the urgent care clinic where they gave him pedialyte and checked him out. He was super tired (he didn't get much sleep the night before there was a HUGE storm) so he kept napping throughout our 5 hours there and such. They sent us over to the hospital to see the on-call pediatrician because the doctor at the clinic wasn't 100% in sending him home just in case. At the hospital they did blood work and an X-ray which all came back normal. He still had a fever but they told us to go home. All day today he has had a fever around 38.8 and I'm starting to worry. He is teething right now. Should I just keep giving him tylenol every 4 hours? He's keeping his food down today so I know he is feeling a little better but are there any other things I can do to get his fever down?
Thanks in advance!
He has been given tylenol all day today and the fever has stayed at 38.8.

Ok I am nt answering this for the 10 points, but because I know veryyyy well what ur gng through. I just posted the same question 3 days ago. Baby is also 10 months old. He had a fever of 39 and this was the 1st time he gets sick. I am a first time mum - so 1st experience. And god was I worried and scared. Of couse I took him to his ped, then came straight away and posted this question. So lemme tell u abt the answers I got. But 1st I wanna assure u that it is ok and it'll be over soon. Just don't worry. Stay next to him and give hin lotsa hugs love and cuddles. Btw he mit wanna sleep in ur arms. Definately let him !
Now for the answers I got. Don't keep him covered in so many layers. Preferably cover him in 2 light layers. Dnt keep him too hot or too cold. Keef his feet and arms free (dnt dress in full pj) give him warm shower. Not cold or hot, just lukewarm. Don't put him in ice. If u want give a warm sponge bath. Also u can put warm clothes on his forefead. Btw, the baths worked for me and he felt muuuch better. Give tylenol every 4_ 6 hrs (read instructions and give depending on his age and weight)
If u think he mit be teething give him something cold to chew on. A chilled clothh or teether from the fridge or a frozen cucumber coz it helps. Also cold applesauce and cool water (don't give hot milk, warm is better) and put some teething gel. It'll be over soon don't worry :) remember hugs and love are the best medicine. Good luck hope I helped and hope baby feels better soon :)

The Tylenol will bring down his temperature.
Make sure he is stripped down and that your home is not too warm.
Hope he's better soon.
