Settings for 3D on PS3?
Hi people.
I just got a new 3D TV and have been playing around with it trying to get it to work properly.
I have managed twice to get the PS3 to recognise that the TV is capable of playing 1080P and 3D, but after the initial adverts and copy write warnings of the film (Dispicable Me 3D) the whole screen goes blank apart from the LG sign which says the signal isn't accepted or something similar.
I then have to reset my PS3 which then stops showing the ability to offer 1080p. When I go manual and tick only that 1080p box in the settings the screen goes blank for 30 seconds before returning to the previous page in the same resolution.
I basically need the exact settings on the PS3 to make it realise that the TV is in fact capable of showing 3D, because one minute the PS3 believes the TV, and the next it thinks it is lying.
Please, give me the exact settings and instructions to make the PS3 realise what's going on. Also if there are any reasons why certain suggestions may not work, please do state solutions too.
This is a link to the TV I bought. I have all 1.4 HDMI leads, and the PS3 is 320GB.

Thanks for your time.

You need to do a Video Reset.
How to do a Video Reset: With the PS3 in stand by mode (red light on front of the PS3), hold the power button down until you hear two beeps (about 5 seconds). The PS3 will turn on and automatically reset giving you the best settings for the type of TV and cable being used.
Always do a Video Reset when you change TVs and/or cables to get the best settings for the PS3, and/or when you can't see an image on the screen.
Also, just so you are aware, the PS3 works with HDMI 1.3 cables as well, and is the only device to do so (Sony made a special software update that allows it to work with HDMI 1.3 cables).
Once the Video Reset is done, there is nothing else you need to do, unless you are using a different cable for audio (RCA or Optical), at that point you will need to go in to the Audio Settings and change it to the cable you are using.
If the TV continues to say the signal isn't accepted, then there is a problem with the TV. Either it is not on the right settings (the TV may not allow the video to show unless the correct 3D settings is selected, Side-by-Side, Top/Bottom, Checkerboard, Automatic, but it should), or the TV has a hardware problem.
