What am I doing wrong with these wooden frames?
OK so I'm trying to build a rabbit hutch but I have two problems. Firstly one side of the frame which is made with 3x2 sticks out in one corner. I've tried aligning it with no success. I even tried laying it on a floor I know to be perfectly flat. One corner always sticks up and I can't figure out how to solve the problem. I thought perhaps one of the pieces of wood was bent but this is not the case. What am I doing wrong here?
Also on the small door which is made from 2x1 wood. I screw the top and bottom pieces to the sides which are all the same length. This in my mind suggests that a square should be achieved. However this is not the case. When I hold up my finished product in front of me I see that one corner of the frame is higher than the other corner, and as a result the bottom corner is higher than the other corner too. All the wood is straight so I don't understand why it is taking this shape.
Please, if anybody can help me with these problems please respond. Usually if I don't have the skill to do something I can relax and practice to get better. However this not knowing WHY I am getting it wrong is doing my head in. Once I know HOW I can practice.
Thanks for your time, Dave.
3 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)8 years agoHow to complain about neighbours when landlord doesnt care.?
Our neighbours ars a constant nightmare and although I have complained to the land Lord he does not care. He doesn't live in the village and gets his rent so he doesn't get involved. I have complained to him several times and every time he has done nothing. I wish to know what to do next. Do I complain to the council about the neighbours celeb though they are private remnants or do I go somewhere and complain about the landlord himself? If so where do I go?
1 AnswerOther - Society & Culture8 years agoHow do baby quail and chickens survive in the wild without heat lamps?amps?
I know most people use a heat lamp until quail and chickens are fully feathered but how do they survive in the wild? Once they are over that obstacle do they get along with others of their breed or will they fight?
2 AnswersZoology8 years agoCan DISTILLED water go stagnant?
Just wondering - tap water if stored for too long goes stagnant and tastes funny. Would this happen with distilled water? I know its general condition would depend on the way it is stored, so lets assume it is stored in glass (no chemicals leaching into the water) and in a cool, dark place.
So after say 10 years could I go to my cold dark place, open the glass whatever and taste water the same as the day it was distilled? What would the life be on water stored in this method?
Please if you know, give answers for both with and without a carbon filter.
Thank you.

I wish to store food (wheat etc) for a long time. I have been told to look for food grade buckets. Whilst looking for them I learned that there are several different sorts. Which ones shoudl I use? I can easily get hold of pp5, but somebody said that these would not be suitable. Why would they be called food grade if they are not suitable for food?
Please help with as much info as possible.

3 AnswersOther - Food & Drink9 years agoHow to connect solar power to house MAINS?
Hi all.
I wish to connect my solar set up to the mains of the house so that instead of having wires pinned up around the ceilings of each room from the inverters to wherever in the house the power is needed, I can just plug my things in like I usually would with bought electrics - into a hole in the wall. So I want to somehow connect my power to the same system as the power I would get if I bought it. HOWEVER, I do not wish to sell back the power I create and I do not want the option to buy it if the need be. I want nothing to do with the grid, but I want my power to run through the wires already in my house. (Sorry to repeat myself). Anybody have any ideas? If you know of a youtube video to assist please provide the link. Thanks.
3 AnswersGreen Living9 years agoback to work bonus on tax return?
I returned to work from benefits and receive a back to work bonus of £40 per week for the first year. Where on a tax return would I mention this? Even if it isn't taxable, should there still be a space to fill it in?
Working tax credits are not taxable and do not require to be mentioned on a tax return, but bank interest is already taxed and DOES need to be mentioned.
Please help. I've looked through the notes and everything but can't find anywhere to fill these details in.
Thanks
4 AnswersUnited Kingdom9 years agoCould solar storms stop...kettle working?
I've been doing research and found out that solar storms contain magnetic energy which could cause things like ipods, TVs etc, to stop working...this apparently is because of somethign in the screens which is damaged whilst near magnetic energy. What I wonder is if other things such as kettles, electric drills, lighting etc, would be effected in the same way or if they would still work if powered by solar energy? Please explain in detail.
4 AnswersGreen Living10 years agoWhy can't I sleep? Please help.?
During the last week I have been finding it hard to sleep. I have no idea why, but it is really annoying me. Nothing in my life has changed, I do everything the same, not worried or anxious about anything, but for some reason I just 'lost' the ability to fall asleep.
For the first time last night I took a Nightol tablet and that seemed to take ages to work too.
What are the reasons for this and how can I get back to sleep?
Thanks

2 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups10 years agoWhat would happen in economic collapse?
What would happen in economic collapse? Would I still be able to rent my house from the government? Would I still have to go to 'work' or would work become living off the land?
How would the barter system work...I see no reason why we would have to go to what we currently refer to as work, but at the same time, in such a situation I can not see governments and the rich, not making the most of the assets they have such as property. I can't imagine the government allowing me to stay living here for nothing if money no longer exists...how would things work?
3 AnswersEconomics10 years agoPS3 works until 3D option chosen, then no signal?
As the title states, the PS3 works fine on the TV until I select to watch 3D. Once 3D is selected the whole picture disappears and I get a message on the screen which says 'no signal'.
It's as if the TV changed it's mind about recognising 3D. What could the problem be?
Yes it is a 3D TV lol...and I tried resetting and still no smiles.
Please help.
1 AnswerPlayStation10 years agoSettings for 3D on PS3?
Hi people.
I just got a new 3D TV and have been playing around with it trying to get it to work properly.
I have managed twice to get the PS3 to recognise that the TV is capable of playing 1080P and 3D, but after the initial adverts and copy write warnings of the film (Dispicable Me 3D) the whole screen goes blank apart from the LG sign which says the signal isn't accepted or something similar.
I then have to reset my PS3 which then stops showing the ability to offer 1080p. When I go manual and tick only that 1080p box in the settings the screen goes blank for 30 seconds before returning to the previous page in the same resolution.
I basically need the exact settings on the PS3 to make it realise that the TV is in fact capable of showing 3D, because one minute the PS3 believes the TV, and the next it thinks it is lying.
Please, give me the exact settings and instructions to make the PS3 realise what's going on. Also if there are any reasons why certain suggestions may not work, please do state solutions too.
This is a link to the TV I bought. I have all 1.4 HDMI leads, and the PS3 is 320GB.

1 AnswerPlayStation10 years agoWater collection and plumbing?
If I collected loads of rain water on my roof and had one pipe running down into an electric boiler for hot water, and another pipe going from the roof directly to various cold water taps throughout the house, would it work or would I need other equipment such as pressurised cylinders or pumps? Would the pressure from the taps be good?
Thanks for your time.

6 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)10 years agoIs it law for new built houses to have downstairs bathroom?
I heard that with new building regulations, all newly built houses must have a down stairs bathroom. Is it true? Does it depend on if the house is to be as a home or for resale?

3 AnswersOther - Home & Garden10 years agoHow to preserve a time capsule?
I want to make a time capsule for future generations, possibly in thousands of years, or as long as possible. I know GLASS would never break down if kept safe (cased in concrete or something). How would I use the materials though? I mean...how long would the paper last inside the glass bottle? How long would the paper last if I laminated it and then put it in a glass bottle?
Basically I need the best ways to secure information for as long as possible. Is air a cause of corrosion? Would I need to make my glass bottle air tight?
So far I thought about placing all the information on paper, laminating, putting it in glass bottles, then placing those inside a metal case, maybe an old safe, and then sealing the safe in a good foot thick surrounding of concrete or something like that.
Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks.
1 AnswerOther - Science1 decade agoBenefits Interview under caution OUTCOME?
There are a lot of questions on here asking about the proceedings of an interview under caution, and the possible outcomes, but nothing stating what the actual outcome turned out to be.
I can't imagine the government sending people to already overcrowded prisons and having to spend tens of thousands of pounds more, when they could just order a repayment with interest and get their money back.
I can understand the warnings.
There is nothing on here about either. If you have had an interview under caution with benefits, what was the outcome??

1 AnswerMotorcycle Racing1 decade agoWall paper on wood? Already done....?
Maybe I should have asked this before I started, but its too late now.
I bought some MDF from the local shop and boarded up a door way. I have now put the wall paper up about 1 hour ago but it seems to still be very...loose? I mean I can easily peal it away in the corner.
I am just wondering if it is because of the room being cold, or if it will work at all. The wood is not shiny but is pretty smooth, its general MDF.
It does look ok at the moment but I worry that IF it dries it might look crap and be a pain to remove again.
If I turn the heating on and leave it overnight will it dry OK? Or will it just peel off?
I need to know if I should take it off and try something else...but I'd rather not.
Thanks.
