What insurance should I look for?

I'm a personal trainer and wish to leave the gym and start visiting my clients at their homes. At the gym I am covered by their public liability insurance but what do I need for elsewhere? Still public liability? Or just personal liability?

Talk to your insurance agent. Many general liability policies have a "designated premises limitation" - it only covers you at that one address. Some do not. You need a general liability policy - in your name - that does NOT have this limitation. And you probably need a professional liability policy, as well.

Personal liability does not cover business pursuits. You need a general liability policy, preferably a policy that includes professional liability as well. Go to the search engine of your choice and type in "personal trainer insurance". When I did that I got 162,000,000 results. Or call the agent who writes your auto and homeowners insurance.

Probably personal liability coverage since you will be working alone. Contact a commercial broker and discuss your options and needs. Good luck

Your insurance broker should be consulted on the additions necessary and policy will be increased. Both the broker and accountant will determine the cost that should be added on your policy that will be enough to protect you.
