back to work bonus on tax return?

I returned to work from benefits and receive a back to work bonus of £40 per week for the first year. Where on a tax return would I mention this? Even if it isn't taxable, should there still be a space to fill it in?

Working tax credits are not taxable and do not require to be mentioned on a tax return, but bank interest is already taxed and DOES need to be mentioned.

Please help. I've looked through the notes and everything but can't find anywhere to fill these details in.

Thanks

It's not taxable, so you can't include it on the return.

Are you absolutely sure you are getting £40 a week for a full year

do you have that in writing

My husband and both my sons had periods of unemployment and none of them received a payment that lasted a full year

My two sons got a back to work amount of money to purchase work clothing in the form of a voucher

to be spent at a chosen store, they did not get physical cash.it was £50

my husband is self employed after a period of being unemployed, he did get a start up grant, but not £40 a month for a year, all I can suggest is that you include it in a tax return because it is income.

Write a separate letter giving details of this bonus.

If the information is not required the tax man can ignore it. If the information is required then the taxman can include it in his sums.
