Windows XP - viewing setting for My Documents?
Hi, when I go to 'start', 'Documents', 'My Documents', the folders don't open up, but just scroll open on the screen.
Anyone know how I can change the view so that the actual folders open up for me to view the folder?
Thanks
When I did this previously, each folder actually opened up on the desktop...i went from my documents, to downloads, my music etc, and the folders actually opened up on the desktop. My nephew altered something to speed the pc up (in his words!), but now they just scroll open like a list, instead of opening up the actual folders.

You can't. You can either show individual folders and/or individual documents.
My Documents on the Start is only a copy of what would be My Documents
on the Desktop.
At the end of the day it's how you store your data in the My Documents.
Personally nothing ever got stored in My Documents or Recent Documents
when I had XP as they were never displayed by using Tweak UI.
Always keep things away from prying eyes!

Open any folder in explorer Set this folder up how you want (i.e. Icons) Go to folder options in tools Go to View Apply to All Folders
