Computer Virus - microsft scan didn't fix?
I have a pretty new toshiba laptop that has somehow gotten a virus. I believe it is the spyware virus, when ever I logon in normal mode spyware pops up saying I have hundreds of viruses. I googled this and apparently this is the virus disguising itself.
I went to microsoft.com and did their free virus scan and did the partial scan first and it found infected files so i tried to run the complete scan that can take several hours but the spyware virus popped up and stopped it from completely scanning the computer.
I want to know if there is another program that does the viurs scan I can access online. If not is there a way I can just delete everything off the computer (nothing too important on my computer just pictures and music) and start over fresh? I'm looking for the disc I got with the computer, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to so options with and without the disc would be very helpful.
Any help is really really appreciated!!!
Thank you!!!!!

Hi,
If you think your pc is infected then i can suggest you one application.. named Advanced System Protector,
It has various features like on execution scan, spyware shields and vast collection of latest spyware definitions makes it best among the rest.
Its On-Execution Scanner that makes it more efficient in the case of internet access.

None of the Microsoft security programs are much good. Connect your machine by netwok cabke, wireless will not do this. Start in safe mode with networking and download the free scanner from http://malwarebytes.org./ Run the full scan.

You need to open your machine in safe mode - this is usually done by tapping the F8 key as it starts. You should get a new menu and you need to select 'safe mode with networking' Let the machine continue to start - it will be slow! - and then using your web browser download malwarebytes antimalware

The free version is just fine. Download it, update it and run it and hopefully it will get rid of your nasties.
An alternative is superantispyware
http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html
Again free is fine.
When it has finished running follow the advice given and then restart your computer

Your original scan found the infected files, try that one again and remove the virus.

You should have got a windows disc with your computer with the product code with it. You can completely restore your computer and set it up as a new one using your windows disc you got.
- If you can't find the disc you could e-mail me and i will help you further.
