Why are people scared of Radiohead? ?

@Smells like screen name- yeah Rush and Radiohead fans alike are pretentious, but they have every right to be seeing as how they can appreciate music at its most complex and demanding. It's like being able to not only do calculus, but appreciate the whole concept of mathematics. it takes musical analysis and serious understanding to listen to bands like these and when it comes down to it some people just aren't musically intelligent or educated enough to understand it. there is a reason why prog bands like these are called the musician's music. we're just excited about showing others, like any teacher of a subject, how great music can be at its peak in potential. I honestly don't like Radiohead and not because they scare me or something. I just like 'Creep' because I like the lyrics but, let's be honest, everyone likes that song. A friend of mine loves Radiohead, Idk why, he says they're unique and special. I think they're overrated.

I don't understand people who think they're depressing. But with songs like "Climbing Up The Walls" "We Suck Young Blood"and "Kid A" I can understand why people might think they're creepy.

Radiohead, is pretty boring, slow. and im a fan of slow rock.

Radiohead aren't that deep, (well in my opinion they aren't) maybe thats why i doesn't scare me, but i don't have any of theyre albums or anything.

Death metal is scary-ish

They sound rather ghostly, indeed. It's their trademark. But Thom says that all he does is extend chords so that they overlap over other chords. There. Horror demystified.

Because people are scared of the innovative guitar sounds and stuff. They have never heard any guitar playing like that because nobody else knows how to. My 60 year old dad likes them though.

I find Radiohead to be extremely overrated.

i suppose maybe its cos they have a darker sound, a bit melancholic,

it depends what you like and why you like it

also they are a bit, normal and odd looking, i think we are too used to seeing 'perfect' people so that normal actually 'scares' us
