why were they they only ones warning and talking about it.

people like Ron Paul, was it because he saw that we have been anything but a free market economy

    @neon moon: You have it exactly backward. The government, not the free market is who is doing those things. That's what "free" is: free from government regulation and interference.

    The free market isn't responsible for the mess we're in. The mess we're in was created by over regulation of the banking industry requiring them to make bad home mortgage loans to people who weren't qualified to receive them and then for the government for coming in and backing up that worthless paper with the full faith and credit of the United States.

    It's a massive Cluster-F that people in DC are actually trying to perpetuate.

    The free market is responsible for the privately-owned Federal Reserves' government enforced monopoly on our money.

    The free market is responsible for the rules and regulations which have prevented small business from competing with multinational corporations because they can't afford them.

    The free market is responsible for government getting bribes from fascists who use gov't to protect themselves from competition in the free market.
