Government grants...?
I'm trying to look into government grants and pell grants, I don't fully understand how they work and if there is even a difference between the two. Also i don't know where to start looking, every site i go to seems like a bunch of schemes....

A pell grant IS a government grant. There are others but the pell grant is the largest award and the one that is most available.
The ONLY site you should be going to is http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ This is a government site that will allow you to apply for all types of federal aid. There are no other applications or websites for federal aid
