No, and yet I have a long way to go.

But life is for learning and I am becoming more spiritual.

Is God closer to material and humankind than I?

If so - then I am closer to God than I am to materialism. If not I am closer to materialism than I am to God.

It becomes about ones pathway, passage, method to (as you say it) God.

I always try as hard as I can to do the right thing.

As long as one thinks of God as something apart from Us, something "Other" then of course we are all closer to the material world and humans, as we see that every day, yet when you see God in Everything, the trees, the ant the human the nature the rock, and know all things are in motion, alive filled with swirling atoms of energy..then you can enjoy the awesomeness of all creation, without feeling apart from the essence of the Divine.

My life serves the betterment of mankind... regardless of what religious scripts have to say of what I do or think -- in all agreement to my human nature, being reasonable, I do not accept any basis for decision other than what upon which my mind has settled itself through a thorough reflection which, a priori, excludes any form of dogma.

Religion desires sheep and literally says so; it values obedience and tradition. But to do so is to deny value to change, to deny value to the individuality and of the lives of thousands... and doing so on the basis of nothing exception made of statements that are held to be true without even the least question is to behave in a profoundly senseless and potentially harmful manner. Indoctrination is a crime against humanity...

Believing is one thing; being convinced to the point of thinking it's knowledge is an other.

Source(s): Still, I didn't touch a word about my belief or disbelief in God... regardless of it, those are my thoughts.

  • I'm in a privileged position...when I see others who are able bodied and having to work for a living I feel for them - in this world today it's difficult to set time aside for God because of all the things we must do to make a living and take care of family...I feel especially for men.

I count myself fortunate that I have a disability, it allows me to spend as much time with my Lord God as I desire...

I do sense somethings changing tho :) and if God heals me to a good enough degree where I can do a job, I will be rejoicing...I've been exceedingly blessed to have spent years sitting at His feet being taught by Him, so I have all I need to get out and about and still remain close to Him.

God bless you and loved ones.

    Edit:

(((T))) you're closer than you realise. You are an awesome man of God :))

Ben Allan, prayers for you...God has heard every cry from your heart, and He always will.

Talk to Jesus, He loves you so very much.

Right now I'm tied to materialism, having to work for money for food etc. But try to stay close to God.

Considering the fact that I am pure material it is not hard to answer.
