As soon as the train leaves the station, it heads for its destination. Death is the destination of the train of life we all travel in. We board that train when born and start travelling towards the destination of our death. During the journey, we have co-passengers, some very close neighbours and some travelling in distant compartments. In the train, people spend time happily together as well as sometimes quarreling for the accomodation. In life too, we live happily and sometimes quarrel for the property. Once the destination is reached, we lose contact of the co-passengers as we do on dying losing the contact of close relatives and friends.
In short, life is a journey towards death and we begin to reach closer to it as soon as born.
Edit:
Some die early and some live longer as in the train some have tickets for shorter distance and their destination is nearer and some are long distance travellers.

Dear Friend
No body is born full grown up, there are stages
Infants
For an infant, death has no real concept. Infants do, however, react to separation from parent(s), painful procedures, and any alteration in their routine.
Toddler
For the toddler, death has very little meaning. He/She may receive the most anxiety from the emotions of those around him/her. When a toddler's parents and loved ones are sad, depressed, scared, or angry, he/she senses these emotions and become upset or afraid. The terms "death" or "forever" or "permanent" may not have real value to children of this age group
Pre School
Preschool-aged children may begin to understand that death is something feared by adults. This age group may view death as temporary or reversible, as in cartoons. Death is often explained to this age group as "went to heaven." Most children in this age group do not understand that death is permanent, that everyone and every living thing will eventually die, and that dead things do not eat, sleep, or breathe.
School aged
School-aged children are developing a more realistic understanding of death. Although death may be personified as an angel, skeleton, or ghost, this age group is beginning to understand death as permanent, universal, and inevitable.
Adolescents
As with people of all ages, past experiences and emotional development greatly influence an adolescent's concept of death. Most adolescents understand the concept that death is permanent, universal, and inevitable.
Hindu Concept on Death
Death, while it is not often welcome, and while its experience may present many difficulties for both the dying person and those around, is one part of the continuum of life of a Hindu. It marks both an end as well as a beginning.Bhagwad Gita, our sacred scripture, informs Hindus that death is certain for the one who is born, and birth is certain for the one who dies (2:27).
I do not have fear of death and going to Hell
"Because maintenance is so bad that the electric chair in Hell does not work, someone has stolen all the nails from the bed, and the devil is a former Govt servant, so he comes in, signs the register and then goes to the canteen.”

Of course he begins his journey of life which ends as predestined by his Maker because he is a Mere Mortal.Despite all advancements of Science and Technology
no one has so far unraveled the secret of eternal life or immortality if you prefer.
The Fountain of Youth is still awaiting to be discovered or invented.
Have a Wonderful Day.

Our body is created to regenerate its self. Death is a belief. It is a way of thinking that began with humanity separating its self from our Creator, and has become the reality for humanity. I do not believe in death! For me there is only transformation; that includes my physical body.
Because humanity is focused upon death, and the desire to over come it, it happens. What would happen if we focused upon our life force, strengthening it and recognizing its infinite reality, Perhaps then the body would live forever. Hmm, what a concept?
Every thing is energy including the human body. This is proven fact and because of this I have to ask myself if the reality I have created "live & die" is really false. Do I bring this about with my beliefs? For me the answer is yes.
My answer to you is- Because humanity is preoccupied with death it happens! We push so hard against it that we end up bringing it to us instead. Force never works.

I'm not really sure if it's true. I mean cells die and get replaced on a daily basis but I suspect that for a period of time perhaps till we are about 20 we are actually not dying (suggested by the fact that we are growing), maybe after we hit 20 we start the slow decent into aging and dying.

Decay sets in from the moment of birth..as with all living things.
But...the gap between can be gloriously fulfilling
And death is nothing more than the lie Satan tells about eternal life.

hmm from a medical stand point this is false. a baby infant has a very high cell growth rate, the growth is greater than the decay allowing for the baby to grow fast. When a person begins "dying" is about age 25-30 when the cells growth rate begins to drop below the cell decay rate.

the life starts with the first breadth in and live till the last breadth out. so with each breath in he is reducing his living time in the life .as you know the death is for the body only so body starts using its time and go towards its expiry date. thanks.
