You are not require to testify against yourself if you are on trial. You have the right not to answer questions of police.
And you should always exercise the right. The police job is not to prove you innocent, talking to them when you are accused can never help your case, only hurt it.

1.Right to a grand jury indictment for a capital or other serious offense (meaning the right to have a group of your peers determine whether probable cause exists to believe you committed a crime)
2.Protection against double jeopardy (prohibits individuals from being charged with the same crime twice)
3. Protection against self-incrimination (individuals cannot be made to testify against themselves)
4. Prohibits the taking of life, liberty, or property without due process of law.
