How long does it take a pecking order for a flock of chickens to be reestablish after adding new chickens?

I recently bought five new hens and I was wonder how long it would take for them to be fully accepted to my main flock I have, because right now they won't let any of the new additions be near them. I have to feed them in a separate area because the other ones won't let them eat, i've had the hens for a few days and it doesn't seem to be getting any better.

The answer is that it is indeterminate (imo of course). Sometimes they don't integrate and a new bird or birds can just be harassed fr the stress til it kills them---of course, being prevented fr getting enough to eat hurries things along.

Good luck to you and the girls.
