can someone help me figure out this math equation for trig?

I just need help on a small part dealing with dividing fractions with square roots.

im using my math lab, which is helping me learn how to do it but it doesnt explain this step very well and their answer is different than mine.

the equation is sqrt(3)/2 = (15/2)/x

what i did was cross multiply to get 2sqrt(3)/30, then reduced to sqrt(3)/15.

it says the real answer is 5sqrt(3)

i want to know how they got that answer.

thanks alot in advance.

    OK, here you go....

    sqrt(3)/2 = (15/2)/x

    cross multiply

    xsqrt(3) = (15/2)2 = 15

    divide both sides by sqrt(3)

    x = 15/sqrt(3)

    multiple both sides by sqrt(3)/sqrt(3)

    x = (15sqrt(3))/(sqrt(3)sqrt(3))

    simplify

    x = (15sqrt(3))/3 =5sqrt(3)

    ta da!

    bear in techniques that sin(ninety - x) = cos x and cos(ninety - x) = sin x a million) sin(40 9) = sin(ninety - 40-one) = cos(40-one) sin(40 9)/cos(40-one) = cos(40-one/cos(40-one) = a million 2) difficulty isn't correct typed. 3) cos(fifty 4 - x) = cos(ninety - (36 + x)) = sin(36 + x) cos(fifty 4 - x) = sin(2x) => sin(36 + x) = sin(2x) => 2x = 36 + x => x = 36
