I have been a strong Obama supporter since his election. I'm starting to waiver now. My question is why does..?
he give in to the GOP on everything? I don't think John McCain would have bended that much.

You are getting brainwashed by the Conservatives. When Obama took office, unemployment was increasing at 800,000 jobs per day. Banks, brokers and others were failing. Two wars going full blast. You have to realize just how bad the economy really was. Obama stabilized it and brought the unemployment under control even though its still high.
The only thing the conservatives are going to tell you is, give another tax break and create more jobs. Its a false statement they use just to get more money out of the government. Stay Democrat.

I can't claim to know what goes on in the mind of the President.
But, the analogy of the opposition "holding the country hostage" is a pretty good analogy. I believe that the White House must look at the bigger-than-party pictures. If he plays chicken with respect to, say, the debt ceiling, and the country starts defaulting on its debts, we have much bigger problems than the budget.
Had he NOT given in and the Republicans hadn't given in, and the country would now be mired in defaulting federal debts, it really won't matter whose "fault" it was.
I think this is the wrong route to go - but this is the route that living in a Democratic Republic with two parties has forced us to go.
Remember - he represents all of us, including conservatives. Letting the country default would have been cutting off your nose to spite your face.

There does need to be some compromise. Fortunately, we do not live in a dictatorship; the president cannot do anything without the approval of Congress. Since Republicans have the majority in Congress, Obama needs to compromise to get anything passed them.

I don't rightly know why either. I wish hed stop doing that. They honestly don't mean him any good. Why it gonna take a brick to fall on his head is beyond me. He has to live out his dream for America. And i hate to be the one to burst your bubble...Johnny Mac would have folded like a lawn chair on the front porch.

First of all I must say that if u still support obama you need to truly look at your values Obama is like most politicians. They use people like yourself who are un-educated on history and politics to vote for them Then do whatever they can to support there backers. If you want true change you need to stop listening to the news and read about history and read about how and why America was founded. America is the last free place on earth

He's a people pleaser by nature due to his dysfunctional upbringing. It's not only the GOP he tries to please, but also every other person on this planet. And because it's impossible, he fails.
